How to Help

We, the volunteers of L.I.F.E., are former patients, parents and relatives whose memories were scarred by the anguish of leukemia who only wish for a chance at life for these children. So perhaps this conspiracy for hope and lives was a part of our personal bargain. Unabashedly, we now ask for yours.

You can help give these children a future in your own special way according to your capabilities, talents, and passion in the following areas:

Logistics. Lend a hand in our events and therapy programs. Most of our patients reside in suburban areas or even rural areas in the other islands of the Philippines. They need to travel far to get medical assistance.

Information. Help author our marketing literature and communications, update our database, conduct field work to profile prospective beneficiaries, or help train our volunteers.

Fellowship. Spend time and play with the children, be a Mother of the Day, organize parties, field trips, and events for the children, or offer therapy sessions, Masses or spiritual activities.

Endowment. Sponsor a child for the coverage of your choice, organize a Circle of L.I.F.E., support our fund-raising activities, or give a token amount monthly or quarterly -- funding for medicines good for even only one treatment goes a long way for a poor patient's future.

The L.I.F.E. volunteers are too familiar with the sadness a poor leukemic child and his family face everyday. Share their fear, loneliness, and anxiety and help them carry the burden of leukemia.

Without tomorrow to look forward to, it's not much of a happy birthday for a child with leukemia. You can put more candles on his cake by supporting L.I.F.E., and give the gift of life to children who desperately need it. After all, the best gift for them is more birthdays ahead.
